Copyright and Licensing

The EPH – International Journal of Medical and Health Science (IJMHS) operates under an Open Access model and publishes all articles under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) License . This licensing model supports unrestricted dissemination, accessibility, and reuse of scholarly research while ensuring proper academic attribution to the original authors and source.

Under the CC BY 4.0 license, authors retain full copyright ownership of their published work without transferring copyright to the journal or publisher. Authors grant the publisher a non-exclusive license to publish, archive, reproduce, distribute, and display the article in electronic and print formats as part of the journal’s scholarly communication activities.

The CC BY 4.0 license permits any user to read, download, copy, print, share, reuse, adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the published material in any medium or format, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s), citation details are included, and a link to the license is provided. Users must also indicate clearly if modifications or changes were made to the original content.

Plagiarism and AI Policy

The journal enforces a strict anti-plagiarism and publication ethics policy. All submitted manuscripts are screened using trusted plagiarism detection software, including iThenticate and Turnitin, prior to peer review to ensure originality, authenticity, and academic integrity. The EPH - International Journal of Medical and Health Science (IJMHS) requires that all submitted work must be original and properly acknowledge all referenced sources, data, figures, and previously published materials.

Manuscripts containing substantial plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated data, manipulated citations, falsified research findings, or unethical publication practices may be rejected immediately or retracted after publication if misconduct is identified.

The journal acknowledges the growing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and AI-assisted technologies in academic writing and research communication. Authors may use AI tools for language editing, grammar correction, formatting assistance, or improving readability; however, AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because authorship requires human intellectual contribution, accountability, and responsibility for the integrity of the scholarly work.

Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, scientific accuracy, ethical compliance, interpretation, citations, and overall integrity of all submitted content, including any material generated or assisted through AI technologies. Any significant use of AI-assisted tools during manuscript preparation should be disclosed appropriately by the authors wherever applicable.

The use of AI for fabrication of data, manipulation of images, generation of misleading information, falsification of results, or production of non-original scholarly material is strictly prohibited. The journal reserves the right to request clarification, supporting files, raw data, or additional disclosure related to the use of AI technologies during editorial evaluation and peer review.
Manuscripts submitted to the journal must maintain a plagiarism similarity index below 15%, excluding references, quotations, and standard methodological phrases. In addition, AI-generated or AI-assisted content should not exceed 5% of the overall manuscript content. Submissions exceeding these limits may be returned for revision, rejected during editorial screening, or subjected to further ethical evaluation.
