Review Process

Workflow & Evaluation

The Peer Review Process

We believe in a transparent, efficient, and fair review process. Here is exactly what happens to your manuscript from the moment you submit it to the moment it is published.

1

The Initial Check

Before we send your manuscript to reviewers, our editorial team performs a preliminary screening. We check for three simple things:

  • Does the topic fit the scope of IJMHS?
  • Is the formatting correct?
  • Is the work original and unpublished?

If everything looks good, the paper moves to the review stage.

2

Fair & Unbiased Review (Double-Blind)

To ensure your work is judged solely on its scientific merit, we use a double-blind peer review model.

How it works: You don’t know who the reviewers are, and they don’t know who you are.

The Experts: We assign your manuscript to at least two independent experts with deep knowledge in your specific field.

What We Look For

Our reviewers aren't just looking for mistakes; they are looking for value. They evaluate:

Scientific Quality Is the methodology sound?
Originality Does this add something new?
Clarity Is the writing clear and logical?
Ethics Are patients and data treated ethically?

The Decision

Once the reviewers send their reports, the Editor makes a decision. We will either accept the paper, reject it, or—most commonly—ask for revisions. You will receive the reviewers' anonymous feedback to help you understand the decision.

5

Revision & Polish

If we ask for revisions, don't worry—this is a normal part of science. You will have time to address the reviewers' comments and resubmit. Depending on the changes, the editor or the original reviewers will check the new version.

Publication

Once your paper meets our standards, it is formally accepted. Our team then copyedits and formats the article before publishing it online. It is released under the Creative Commons (CC BY 4.0) license, making it free for anyone to read and cite immediately.
