Scholarly Accessibility & Medical Integrity
Open Access Policy
The EPH - International Journal of Medical and Health Science (IJMHS) is a peer-reviewed, fully open-access journal. We believe that medical research should be a global public good. In accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), we provide "free and unrestricted" online availability to the scholarly record.
By "open access" to this literature, we mean its free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose.
1. Strategic Goals of Open Access
By removing financial and institutional barriers, IJMHS ensures that health science research can be utilized by clinicians and researchers regardless of their geographical or economic status.
- Global Visibility: Immediate access for healthcare professionals in developing and developed nations.
- Accelerated Innovation: Rapid dissemination allowing for faster clinical validation of findings.
- Research Democratization: No digital paywalls or registration requirements for the public.
- Clinical Integration: Simplifies the use of peer-reviewed data in medical practice and health policy.
2. Supporting Medical Transparency
Open access is particularly vital in the medical sciences, as it allows for the transparent verification of data and the reproduction of clinical studies by independent researchers. This model strengthens the overall reliability of the healthcare record and fosters public trust in scientific outcomes.
Commitment to Open Science
The journal remains dedicated to the advancement of open science through the BOAI framework. We believe that by removing access barriers to high-quality peer-reviewed research, we can stimulate medical innovation and improve the accessibility of health insights for the global public.
